We have four large playrooms to accommodate our children and two separate entrances. All play equipment, furnishings, and learning program spaces are developmentally appropriate and safe for children. The program space is organized and inviting. Materials reflecting people with disabilities/diverse cultures are placed in an inclusive manner throughout the program space. Staff adapt the program space to meet the needs and interests of the children: Children thrive in indoor and outdoor spaces that invite them to investigate, imagine, think, create, solve problems, and make meaning from. Even though we are located next to Yonge Street, our centre is quiet and secluded, attached to a small City Parkette.
Our two playgrounds are shared by the four groups. Playground #1 is shared by Infants and Toddlers and the Playground #2 is shared by Toddlers and Preschoolers
Our Learning Plan and Free Activities support our children in a learning process that encourages self-expression, creativity, coordination and most importantly, fun!
On daily basis children are engaged and or offered activities and development stimuli in these areas.
UYVDC has two playground. Big playground and small playground.
