Staff develops program curriculum plans on a weekly basis with specific ideas and goals for each week.  Curriculum plans are based on the children’s’ interests, the philosophy of UYVDC, and developmentally appropriate activities.  Children are encouraged, but not forced, to participate in all activities.

UYVDC observes ELECT. The Early Learning Framework is a guide to support early childhood programs in Ontario. With six distinct principles, the Early Learning Framework provides a shared language and understanding of child development. The goal is to support you, early childhood educators and other early learning practitioners, as you work in early childhood settings. Our Early Childhood Educators plan activities to support each child as individual and also as a group by planning activities which aim to achieve certain skills as per the ELECT framework. We provide a balance between planned and free activities as per the children’s interests indoor and outdoor. Early Learning for Every Child Today.
